Coconut Chutney

Ingredients:-

  1. 2 cups of fresh coconut, shredded
  2. 10 dry red chillies
  3. 1 sprig curry leaves
  4. A large pinch of hing (asoefetida)
  5. 1/2 tsp methi(fenugreek) seeds
  6. 2 tsp udad dhal
  7. 2 tsp channa dhal
  8. 1 small tomato
  9. Salt as required
METHOD:

  • Heat some oil and add the dhals, curry leaves, hing, methi and red chillies.
  • Fry till done.
  • Add this to the coconut and tomato and blend into a smooth paste.
  • Add salt for taste.
Your Coconut chutney is ready to be served.
